Jalal Al-e Ahmad

Jalal Al-e Ahmad was one of the Iran’s contemporary writers.
He was famous in the literary circles, for his new style of prose

and for choosing critical and social subjects.
Al-e- Ahmad finished his preliminary and high education
in Tehran.Then he got his BA and MA degrees in Persian
literature and started teaching literature at an important
high schools inTehran. His first  work, by the name of
“Pilgrimage” was published in a literary magazine  “Sokhan”
in Farvardin 1324.Then he got  print a collection, which
included 12 parts, by the name of “Paying and Repaying Visits”.
Al-e- Ahmad also wrote short stories and did precious work on
different subjects, like cultural, social and political affairs.
His outstanding  works are as follow:

Seven essays, A pain which we tolerate, Story of hives, Noon
Val Qalam, School manager, Khasi dar Meeghat (A Straw on
Meeghat), Curse of the earth.
His translated works in Persian are: Gambler, Foreigner,
Misunderstanding, Stained Hands, Returning from Russia,
Ceros.
Al-e Ahmad died in Tehran, in1348 (solar year).
