Molavi

Molavi was born in Balkan in 604 A.H. He is one of
the greatest poets of the East. His father “Bah’al-Din”
was a great learned man of his time. Bah'al-Din left his
homeland with his son. First he visited Shaikh Attar,
then he went to Mecca.
Jalal al-Din was being educated under his father’s attention and
soon he got skill in different  knowledges and religion
.
Jal
al-Din’s father died in Qoniyeh on 18th Rabi’al-Sani 628 A.H.
After his father’s death he attended  the classes
of Borhanoddin Tarmazi, who was his father’s student,
in Qoniyeh in 626 A.H. Then he became acquainted with
a Sufi, named “Shams al-Din Tabrizi"and turned into his disciple.
He put his spiritual guide's name in his lyrics.
Molana traveled to Damascus after Shams’s death.
His outstanding works include:
Masnavi, which is famed
as "Masnavi Ma'navi" and the other
is
"Divan-e-kabir". Molana’s lyrics are the great asset to the
Persian Language.

He died in 672 A.H. when he was 68 years old.
His son took his place in 684 A.H. and gathered
his father’s works ( Fihe Mafieh).
