Seyyed Jamal ul-deen Asad-Abadi was born in
Asad-abad Village, Hamedan Province.

When he was 9 years old, he studied religious sciences
at Islamic schools in Qazvin and Tehran and in order
to complete his knowledge, he went to Najaf. He
attended in the classes of the famous jurisprudent of
that time, Late Hoj. Sheikh Mortheza Ansari.

After graduating, the disorder situation of the Islamic
countries made him go to India and tried to mobilize
the Indian people, specially the Muslims against the
UK Colonialism. But, because of the absolute rule
of the UK, Asad-Abadi left there for Ottoman (Turkey)
and then Egypt. In Egypt, he could found an
anti-imperialist movement by the name of “Secret
Association”.

Later, Seyyed Jamal ul-deen’s students including Mohammad
Abdoh and Sa’d Zoqlule followed the movement which had
been founded by Seyyed Jamal in Egypt. After his exile
from Egypt, he went to Europe. In Paris, Asad-Abadi and
Abdol published Orvat-ul Vosqa News paper.

By Nasir-al-deen Shah’s invitation, he came to Iran. At first,
he supposed that he would be able to perform his reformatory
thoughts. But he found that Shah was the basic factor for
misfortune of the Iranian nation. As the first step, he wanted
to reform Shah. But he was expelled from Iran.

When Seyyed Jamal returned to Iran, for the second time was
exiled to Shahr-e Rey. He encouraged people in different meetings
to

fight against Shah regime in there.

In the last days of his life, Seyyed Jamal lived in Turkey. He was
controlled indirectly by Sultan Abdul-Hamid (Ottoman Emperor).

After assassination of Nasir Al-deen Shah by Mirtha-Reza Kermani,
Ottoman King feared and ordered to poison Seyyed Jamal.

Among the most important thoughts of Seyyed Jamal, we can mention:

  1. Taking effort in order to unify the Muslims of the world,
  2. Fighting with the Colonialism,
  3. Defend the Islamic values against negative propagation and
    material thoughts,
  4. Usage of the jurisprudents’ religious influence against conspiracies
of the Colonialism & the Despotism.
